The Chicopee, MA Police Department just completed the first round of in-service training using the Accuracy Under Fire (AUFIRE) Resilience Training System. This innovative system simulates the conditions an officer might face if they sustained a gunshot-related injury, including surprise, pain, distraction, and immobilization.
The training focuses on teaching officers to continue the fight and initiate self-care, such as applying a tourniquet. Our officers were trained to keep their cool even in the most challenging situations, and they gave AUFIRE excellent reviews.
According to our officers, AUFIRE is a complete game changer for reality-based scenario training. The shared consensus is that this training system is a must-have for any police department that wants to equip its officers with the skills they need to handle high-pressure situations.
We're proud to have implemented this cutting-edge training system and are confident that it will make a significant impact in our officers' ability to serve and protect the Chicopee community.
